Low-quality anime Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You, Season 2 premieres in January
The romance anime Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You, Season 2 had its official premiere date announced today via its social media accounts and website. That date is January 8th, 2026.
And this one should be an interesting watch.
Not the anime itself, as I dropped the first season after Episode 2 considering I had zero interest in watching anything taking place during the Covid b.s. (a negative among many negatives for the anime, in my opinion), and its animation (or lack thereof) was abysmal.
But international viewers’ reactions to it should be fun, considering its first season is currently one of the lowest rated anime series on both My Anime List (6.10 out of 10 – and with almost as many people dropping it as finishing it) and IMDB (a very low 5.9 out of 10).
Those low ratings, by the way, are due to that low-quality animation by Typhoon Graphics (most of whose anime are low-rated, and who seem to rely on Powerpoint presentations more than animation), and to its typical tropes — including hot girl hangs out with four hot guys, all of whom are in love with her and competing, and a forgotten birthday.
And yep, it being a reverse harem was also to its detriment.
Throw in a plot that was a hot mess, and that a second season is now on its way is a bit tragic, isn’t it?
No wonder then anime fans are screaming “This trainwreck is getting a second season and (insert anime here) isn’t“.
But, the second season of Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You is on its way, whether you like it or not, and with a new Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You, Season 2 key visual dropping today too.
Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You, Season 2 key visual features all 5 leads
As you’d expect the reverse harem anime’s latest visual is of all five main leads, with Mizuho in the center of her four male friends (all still in school), and with fireworks going off around them.
For once, they’re not all trying to get her attention.

Staff for Season 2 of Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You
Junichi Yamamoto (director of Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke’s Mansion) is back directing Season 2, with Yuu Murai (Haigakura, another very low-rated anime, which I actually liked) in charge of series composition, and Shiibaio (animation director for In/Spectre 2) designing the characters.
The aforementioned Typhon Graphics is animating, so let’s hope they do a better job than with Season 1, which looked like it had a lower budget than the Domestic Girlfriend Blu-ray I just bought on Sentai ($16.99).
Visuals released for adult versions of the Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You main characters
Although from the previously-released trailer (below), it sure as hell doesn’t look like it.
And just in case you haven’t watched Season 1 (lucky you!), its plot goes like this:
Mizuho, a second-year high school student, is having the worst possible time turning 17.
Her chance to get closer to the senior she has a crush on is gone, and her parents have completely forgotten about her birthday… Mizuho thought there was no such thing as a “sparkling youth,” but then her childhood friend, Kizuki, suddenly declares himself a “potential boyfriend”!
Now, it’s time to swim in a sparkling romance…!
