Update March 7th: Pursuit of Jade has now hit 28,000 on the Tencent heat index and, yep, another poster has also dropped (below).
Well, I did comment a couple of days ago that it seemed very likely that the just-dropped Chinese drama Pursuit of Jade would be a big hit.
Today, that seems obvious as, with just a few episodes out, and Pursuit of Jade has already hit 26,000 on Tencent’s heat index — kicking off at 20,000 as the first episodes dropped and quickly ramping up to 21,000, 22,000 and beyond, until it hit 26,000 a few hours later.
The Chinese drama also broke the 2026 Tencent Video record for hitting 26,000 the fastest.
Along with the announcement, we got seven very pretty posters of the two leads — Zhang Ling He and Tian Xi Wei — one for each of the heat index levels the C-drama hit.
Pursuit of Jade is streaming on WeTV, iQIYI and Netflix so, yep, it’s getting a broader than usual release as well.
And, yes, on YOUKU at least, it’s performing just as superbly there as it grabbed 8,500 on their heat index (very high for a first day) as well.
There are seven episodes now streaming on all three streaming services, with more two more due to drop tomorrow.
My Drama List users are already rating it a high 8.5 out of 10, and it’s grabbing an 8.0 out of 10 from 10 users on IMDB so far.
Enjoy the seven pretty Pursuit of Jade heat index posters we just got, and let’s see if this one turns out as good as it’s first few episodes, eh?
