Plot Synopsis
In 1916, Chu Shaohua (played by Rayzha Alimjan) married Chen Dashun, the eldest son of Chen’s Pharmacy, to save her brother Chu Shaozhong. She was appreciated by Chen’s father for her integrity and outstanding business skills and became the manager of his pharmacy.
After the unexpected death of Chen’s father and Chen Dashun, Chen Ershun inherited the pharmacy and squandered the family fortune, and the pharmacy fell into dire straits.
But, due to hard work, Chu Shaohua opened Huashun Pharmacy to support her family.
Chu Shaohua decided to start a new life with her first love Xia Chu, but was obstructed by Chen Ershun and Chen’s mother. The Chen family was robbed by bandits, and Chu Shaohua also lost her daughter in this disaster. Heartbroken, she left for Shanghai alone.
Later on, Chu Shaohua achieved outstanding results at Yongxin Department Store in Shanghai. She was invited by the business genius Wen Zhiqiu (played by Tony Yang ) to start a business together and so gradually grew into becoming a very successful female merchant with great courage and integrity.
