With wuxia mystery thriller Immortalis kicking off its filming schedule today, it shouldn’t be too surprising that, along with photos from the drama’s booting ceremony, iQIYI also released character visuals for the three main Immortalis characters.
The six visuals for Hou Ming Hao who plays Yang Wujian, Zhang Wen Xin who is Shen Qing Shi, and Xu Zhen Xuan who plays Zhou Huai, include solo visuals for each actor as well as photos of all three together.
All six photographs are centered around the blades the three swordsmen – well, two swordsmen and one swordswoman – carry with them wherever they go.

From the six visuals, I like the look of this one too, don’t you? As, instead of the usual elegantly-dressed costume dramas we usually get starring the three actors, it looks like the aesthetics of Immortalis might be a bit more “rough and ready”.
And that’s a very nice change, right?
iQIYI also mentioned the C-drama’s plot like this:
Dark tides surge and suspicion clouds the sky; fleeting light and shifting shadows hide the truth, but unraveling each thread reveals the human heart.
Immortalis is scheduled to be a 40-episode drama that, with a likely three to four month filming schedule, will probably not go into post-production until, at the earliest, March, 2026.

That means it will be at least fourth quarter 2026 in all likelihood before the Chinese drama releases.
We’ll keep you in the loop here at Baozi Buns then as more visuals/information about the Pan An Zi directed, and iQIYI produced drama as it drops.
But yep, Fangs of Fortune‘s Hou Ming Hao and Xu Zhen Xuan have reunited and, from the synopsis of the plot, the C-drama sounds intriguing.
