The tvN drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, Episode 8 aired on Sunday night to a big increase in its ratings, and yet another new all-time high – in both regions of South Korea.
Nielsen Korea data shows Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, Episode 8 grabbing 15.40 percent of the nationwide rating last night, compared to the already very high viewership of 12.64 percent the K-drama earned for Episode 7.
The Korean drama also earned very high ratings from viewers in Seoul, where it garnered 15.81 percent versus the 12.82 percent the tvN drama earned on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty is at #2 on the Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart, earned the #1 spot on the Drama Brand Reputation Rankings chart last week, and is being rated very high by international viewers on websites around the world.
My Drama List users are rating it an 8.5 out of 10, which is very high from users of that site, while over 2,100 users of IMDB are currently awarding the K-drama an 8.2 out of 10.
In other words, a Korean drama that started out with ratings of 4.85 percent nationally, and 5.10 percent in Seoul, and with much lower ratings on various drama-focused websites, is now skyrocketing everywhere.
And yes, all the attention it is getting is very well deserved.
