Korean entertainment news media is reporting Gong Yoo (Goblin) and Song Hye Kyo (The Glory) may be teaming up for an upcoming drama.
Reports in Korean press earlier today suggest that Gong Yoo is currently in talks to lead a new project by renowned screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung (Dear My Friends/Our Blues)
A representative from Gong Yoo’s agency, Management SOOP, confirmed, “Gong Yoo has indeed received an offer for No Hee Kyung’s new project and is currently considering it.”
Additionally, it was disclosed earlier that Song Hye Kyo is also in positive discussions to join the cast.

While not much information has been released about the new project yet, you can guarantee it will likely be one of the best-written dramas of the year when it premieres.

In this case, though, it appears Noh Hee Kyung’s latest drama will be looking at the beginnings of South Korea’s entertainment industry.
That will likely be fascinating as South Korea has gone from having an almost non-existent entertainment industry 70 years ago (at least to those outside South Korea), to one of the world’s juggernauts nowadays.
Heading the project is director Lee Yoon Jung, who is acclaimed for hits like Coffee Prince and Cheese in the Trap.
