Queen of Tears Ep 10 ratings make it #5 highest-rated cable TV drama of all-time on any network

The ratings are in for last night’s Queen of Tears, Episode 10 and, as you might expect with this massively successful Korean drama, it hit another all-time high.
Not only in the ratings department, but also with a nationwide rating that last night pushed the Korean drama into the #5 spot on the highest-rated cable TV dramas of all time chart.
That rating, according to Nielsen Korea, was 18.95 percent, which is another big jump from its previous episode’s 15.57 percent.
An episode that was already its highest-rated Saturday episode ever.
That rating also meant Queen of Tears rushed past 11 other cable dramas last night to grab the #5 spot on the highest-rated cable TV dramas of all time chart (peak rating not average).
Not bad for a rom-com that premiered with just 5.85 percent of the nationwide ratings, eh?
Those other cable dramas Queen of Tears beat, by the way, are:
- Agency (16.04%)
- Itaweon Class (16.54%)
- Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) 2 (16.58%)
- Under the Queen’s Umbrella (16.85%)
- Crash Course in Romance (17.03%)
- Mr. Queen (17.37%)
- Extraordinary Attorney Woo (17.53%)
- Mr. Sunshine (18.12%)
- Doctor Cha (18.54%)
- Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (18.68%)
- Reply 1988 (18.80%)
That also means Queen of Tears only has to pass four other dramas — Crash Landing on You (21.68%), Sky Castle (23.77%), Reborn Rich (26.94%) and The World of the Married (28.37%) to hit the #1 spot.
Can it do it with at least one of its next six episodes?
With the way the tvN drama’s ratings have been rising lately, it’s definitely possible. Especially as we get closer to its series finale.
Queen of Tears, Episode 10 ratings in Seoul
By the way, the ratings for Queen of Tears, Episode 10 last night were even higher in Seoul.
They jumped from Episode 9’s viewership of 17.23 percent, to last night’s 20.92 percent.
Queen of Tears stars Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won.
The Korean drama airs every Saturday and Sunday at 21:20 (KST), with Netflix streaming each new episode worldwide.
