Flex X Cop Ep 2 ratings higher than Ep 1 – do Ahn Bo Hyun and Park Ji Hyun have a hit on their hands?

With the first episode of the new SBS drama Flex X Cop performing so well in the ratings in South Korea last night, all signs pointed to its second episode doing even better tonight.
After all, the writing is excellent, some of the comedy is brilliantly funny, and the performances of both leads Ahn Bo Hyun and Park Ji Hyun and the supporting cast have been superb so far.
That is why it is gratifying to see many other people must be enjoying the drama as well, as the Flex X Cop, Episode 2 ratings are now out via Nielsen Korea and they are even higher than for Episode 1.
Both nationwide and in Seoul.
Those ratings are 6.9 percent of the audience share nationwide, which is a 1.2 percent increase from the K-drama’s 5.7 percent for Episode 1.
Flex X Cop, Episode 2 also fared as well in Seoul earning a slightly higher 7.0 percent audience share versus Episode 1’s rating of 5.8 percent.
Flex X Cop is likely to become a hit?
Considering it is common for ratings to fall for the second episode of a new drama, to see Flex X Cop experience such a substantial increase in the drama’s ratings points to the Korean drama potentially becoming a hit.
When you back that up with solid ratings from international viewers — 8.4 out of 10 on IMDB from a small number of people so far, and a solid 8.0 out of 10 from My Drama List’s often stingy users, it is safe to say Flex X Cop has gotten off to a very good start.
Flex X Cop stars Ahn Bo Hyun, Park Ji Hyun, Kang Sang Jun and Kim Shin Bi, with the excellent supporting cast of Jang Hyun Sung, Kwak Shi Yang, Kim Myung Soo, Jeon Hye Jin, Lee Do Yeop, Kwon Hae Hyo and Yoon Yoo Sun.
The 16-episode comedy action drama airs every Friday and Saturday evening on SBS in South Korea, with Disney Plus scheduled to start airing it in some international regions soon.
The next episode of the Korean drama will air next Friday, February 2nd on SBS at 22:00 (KST).
Let’s hope we see another increase in its ratings, eh?
