After drops in the ratings for the last two episodes of the Korean drama Tell Me That You Love Me, the show’s ratings were back up again last night.
New numbers from Nielsen Korea show Tell Me That You Love Me, Episode 13 grabbed 1.644 percent of the nationwide ratings in Korea.
That rating is up from Episode 12’s 1.49 percent, which was the K-drama’s lowest ever.
It also put the Shin Hyun Been and Jung Woo Sung-led series back in 3rd place after it fell all the way down to 16th place for its previous episode.
With just three more episodes to go, the increase is a welcome turn of events.
Especially as the romance drama has been one of the best Korean dramas released in 2023 right from its first episode on November 27th.
Lead Jung Woo Sung getting massive attention in South Korea
Meanwhile, Jung Woo Sung, the drama’s main lead, seems to have all but taken over South Korea.
The 50-year-old actor hit #1 on the Korean Business Research Institute’s film actors brand reputation rankings at the end of December, due to his roles both in Tell Me That You Love Me and his latest film 12.12: The Day — which was the most successful film in Korea in 2023.
He also made it to #7 on the drama actor brand reputation rankings in the same week.
Jung Woo Sung has also been involved in a massive publicity campaign for 12.12: The Day, meaning he has participated in more than 200 live appearances around South Korea in the last couple of months, as well as dropped in at many TV and radio stations to promote the film.
No wonder 2023 seemed to be Jung Woo Sung’s year, eh?
As for Tell Me That You Love Me, with three episodes of the superb romance drama left to air, Episode 14 will air on ENA and Genie TV tonight.
Its final episode is due to hit on January 16th.
I, for one, will be very sad to see it end.
