New Netflix drama The Bequeathed trailer has Kim Hyun Joo worried for her own life
The upcoming Korean thriller The Bequeathed is due to premiere on Netflix on January 19th.
Hence the just released The Bequeathed poster and trailer showing protagonist Yoon Seo Ha (played by Kim Hyun Joo) not only inheriting a family burial ground after her uncle dies, but also the unsettling way she suddenly meets her previously unknown half brother.
A half brother who decides he has a right to their uncle’s burial ground as well, even if murder is what it takes.
Then there is the representative of a strange company who suddenly arrives saying he can take care of “that pesky burial ground”, as well as the deaths of several people around her all leading to Seo Ha suspecting her brother and wondering if she may be the next victim.
Step in Detective Choi Sung Jun (Park Hee Soon), who is determined to solve the murders, alongside Captain Park Sang Min (Park Byung Eun) whose job is to eliminate suspects one by one.
Can they help Yoon Seo Ha not only survive the horrific circumstances she finds herself in, but also keep a hold of the property that has been in her family for generations?
Or are the family secrets too difficult to overcome?
Meanwhile, the latest The Bequeathed poster (see above) features Yoon Seo Ha (Kim Hyun Joo) appearing to be worried about the dangers she is facing, with half brother Kim Young Ho (Ryu Kyung Soo) suspiciously lurking behind her while police officers Park Sang Min and Yeon Seo Ha are in the background attempting to solve the mystery.
All four characters are pictured against the backdrop of a field with Kim Young Ho on his knees in the foreground apparently honoring someone who is dead.
The Bequeathed is directed by Min Hong Nam (assistant director on Train to Busan), and was co-directed and written by Yeon Sang Ho (The Train to Busan and Peninsula).
The six-episode K-drama is due to premiere on Netflix on January 19th, 2024, with the new trailer for the eerie thriller promising more than just a little intrigue and mystery.
