Cha Jeong Suk smashing husband’s face into her birthday cake one of best revenge moments in a K-drama
One of the best things about the K-drama Doctor Cha, Episode 9 happened in just the first few minutes when Cha Jeong Suk (played by Uhm Jung Hwa) arrives at her birthday party right after learning her husband Seo In Ho (Kim Byung Chul) is having an affair.
While the party itself is awkward and strange as Doctor Cha’s family pretend they are happy to be there, it soon becomes hilariously funny as Cha Jeong Suk, sick of her husband pretending she is his “precious wife”, smashes his face into her birthday cake.
Of course, normally at that point Seo In Ho would have been furiously angry and screaming at his wife
Whether they were in a restaurant or not.
This time, however, knowing that all of his family is well aware he is having an affair, but still believing Cha Jeong Suk hasn’t figured it out, Seo In Ho simply sits there stunned without saying a word.
That is when Jeong Suk begins laughing and then, in a very unbelievable way, pretends what she did was a joke.
Considering Seo In Ho has to be one of the worst husbands in all of K-drama history, all I can say is not only did he deserve that almighty push, I loved it so much I rewound that scene and watched it four times.
Especially as, after Seo In Ho’s face is smashed into the birthday cake he just sits there with a huge piece of birthday cake glued to his face until Cha Jeong Suk herself pulls it off.

After all, there have been several Doctor Cha scenes well worth a rewind and re-watch during the first nine episodes of this fabulous drama, but this one takes the cake.
