We finally have an update about the upcoming YOUKU-produced donghua Wealth and Wonder (aka Gold Player or 克金玩家), after the most recent information was a trailer, which came out last November.
That information dropped via the Qingxiang Culture Animation official Weibo account today in the form of six beautiful wallpapers taken from a series of screenshots from the Chinese anime.
Along with the colorful wallpapers, the Chinese animation studio commented about their latest series:
A new era is about to start!

New PV for the donghua is dropping soon — every frame is god-tier, absurdly gorgeous, every screenshot is wallpaper-worthy! Save them now!
Then, this summer, lock in YOUKU Animation, and follow the big boss to dominate the dungeon.
And, yes, the screenshots/wallpapers and character models are just as beautiful as the animation studio says.
Then again, with the animation studio being straight off completing the spectacular first season of World of Immortals, I would be surprised if they weren’t gorgeous.
What is the Wealth and Wonder donghua plot?
Set in the near future, the story revolves around the virtual game Era, developed by the Chu Group. The game has garnered global attention for its immersive experience.
However, on the eve of its official launch, the game’s developers, Mr. and Mrs. Chu, mysteriously disappear.
Their son, Chu Yi, a wealthy heir, enters the game with a staggering 30 billion yuan worth of in-game currency. Guided by a humanoid AI, he assembles a team to uncover the truth behind his parents’ disappearance.
As the narrative unfolds, Chu Yi discovers a connection between his parents’ vanishing and a shadowy organization, propelling him into a journey that intertwines the virtual and real worlds.
And, honestly, with that kind of plot — VR gaming, massive in-game currency, missing parents and shady organizations, it sounds like this one could be a wild ride.
And, if the animation quality lives up to the screenshots/wallpapers and the previously released trailer, we may just be looking at the next big donghua hit.
Wealth and Wonder is being animated by Qingxiang Culture and produced by YOUKU.
