5th Delico’s Nursery trailer looks more closely at the vampire murders – unfortunately, only in Japanese

After announcing earlier in the month that the upcoming vampire-themed anime Delico’s Nursery would be delayed for a month, Aniplex has just released the fifth Delico’s Nursery trailer giving us more details about the vampire murders.
It also features some of the child-rearing skills of the titular Delico family.
Unfortunately, like much of what comes out of Japan and like the other Delico’s Nursery trailers, they decided adding English subtitles was beyond them.
That means, unless you speak Japanese, you won’t be much closer to understanding the anime’s plot as Google’s still-garbage auto-translation isn’t much help either.
You can, however, enjoy the snippets of both the opening theme song — “Unfair” by Nakashima, and the ending song — “Prayer” Anonymouz — in the latest Delico’s Nursery trailer.
The Delico’s Nursery staff
The anime is being directed by Hiroshi Nishikiori (A Certain Magical Index), with Kenichi Suemitsu (Touken Ranbu Kai: Kyoden Moyuru Honnouji), and with Youko Itou (Amanchu!) in charge of character designs.
Its plot goes something like this:
Dali Delico is a nobleman of the prestigious Delico family and a promising member of the elite Blood Council.
When he is ordered to carry out a mission by the Blood Council, the supreme governing body of the vampire species, Dalí turns it down without hesitation.
When Gerhard, Dino and Enrique, who are all fellow members of the council, go to persuade him, they find Dalí alone and nursing a young child.
Meanwhile, a series of mysterious murders targeting vampire species occur. There seems to be a past connection between Dalí and the anti-social organization Pendulum, which may to be the mastermind behind the murders.
The story of Dali’s life is told in a series of episodes in the film, with the motto: ‘With blood and pride, I will balance my duties and childcare… and I will do it!
In other words, the nobles of the vampire species struggle to raise their children in noblesse oblige.
Can they manage to balance their absolute duty and their proud, slapstick parenting in the magnificent Gothic world?
The vampire-themed anime features an extremely distinctive art style, and a quite unique plot so, once this does release, it should be an intriguing anime to watch.
That release date, by the way, is now set for August 8th, with the Delico’s Nursery anime then airing every Thursday after that.
