Character posters of Zhang Xiao Fei, Yu Shi, Xia Yu and other main and supporting cast released
The upcoming Chinese spy thriller Shadow Hunter has dropped 13 character posters as the series itself wrapped up filming today.
Shadow Hunter (aka 猎影者 / Lie Ying Zhe) is directed by Zhang Mo, and written by Zhang Mo and Shi Liang (Killer and Healer), and stars Zhang Xiao Fei, Yu Shi, Xia Yu, and Zhou Hao Qi — all of whom have had character posters drop today.
Interestingly, we don’t know that much about the drama so far except for its cast, as even its plot, according to what YOUKU has released so far, is a bit vague:
Four chemical test tubes filled with blood-colored liquid, a floating corpse, a heart, a necklace, and a pistol are full of suspicions. In the fog, a figure holding an injection and holding an umbrella walked forward alone.
Yep, vague, right?
YOUKU did confirm the drama’s full cast this morning though along with another equally non-committal comment:
Carving a blood-stained path with obsession as the blade, igniting a pursuit of justice with the sharp edge of criminal investigation!

Just about the only other thing we know about Shadow Hunter right now is that, along with YOUKU, the C-drama will also be released on Hunan TV and Mango TV, and that it is currently thought to be 16 episodes in length.
Enjoy the newly-released Shadow Hunter character posters, and we’ll be back as soon as more information about the spy thriller arrives as, let’s face it, although we don’t get a huge number of spy-themed C-dramas, the ones we do get are often excellent – and this one, with its excellent cast, is likely to be as well.
