New Dare to Love Me stills have Kim Myung Soo as a Confucianism believer who wants to be a webtoonist

New stills have been released for the upcoming KBS2 drama Dare to Love Me (aka 함부로 대해줘 in Korea, and also known as Treat Me Carelessly in the west), which is set to premiere on Monday, March 13th.
This time, the new Dare to Love Me stills feature actor Kim Myung Soo, who plays Shin Yoon Bok, a man whose belief system is deeply rooted in Confucianism.
He is the heir to Seongsan Village, a place where time has been frozen so that everyone lives as they would have in the Joseon era.
What is the Dare to Love Me plot?
Even though he wears a hanbok and robe, Shin Yoon Bok isn’t quite what he seems.
After all, although he believes the elders’ word is law, his goal is still to escape to Seoul where he hopes to become a webtoonist.
The Korean rom-com drama is based on the popular webtoon of the same name.
It follows Yoon Bok who is respectful and straight-laced, as he meets and builds a relationship with his art teacher Kim Hong Do (played by Lee Yoo Young), a woman who is tired of being treated badly.
Not everything is easy, however, as Yoon Bok may be polite, but he doesn’t really trust people, so he pushes away anyone who tries to get close to him.
In the three new Dare to Love Me stills (above and below), we see Kim Myung Soo as Yoon Bok in his village and wearing his traditional hanbok, during his first days in Seoul when he goes to art school still looking like he belongs in the Joseon era and then, later, as he begins to adapt to life in Seoul.
Alongside Kim Myung Soo and Lee Yoo Young, Dare to Love Me features the excellent cast of Lim Young Ju, Bae Jong Ok, Park Eun Seok, Jo In and Sun Woo Jae Duk in supporting roles.
The new KBS2 rom-com drama premieres on Monday, March 13th, 2024 at 10:10 p.m. in the same time slot as the currently running Nothing Uncovered.
