My Dearest Nemesis Ep 3 grabs highest ratings yet with substantial viewership jump

Michelle Topham February 25, 2025

The South Korean romantic comedy My Dearest Nemesis continues to capture viewers’ hearts, with its third episode achieving a notable ratings boost last night.

Airing on tvN on Monday, February 24th, 2025, My Dearest Nemesis, Episode 3 garnered an average nationwide viewership rating of 4.5%, according to Nielsen Korea.

This marks a significant 1.0% increase from the previous episode’s 3.5%, and signals a growing interest in the series as it unfolds.

This uptick also suggests that the show’s mix of humor, romance, and relatable character development is resonating with viewers.

Especially as the premiere on February 17th had a solid start but faced mixed reactions, with some criticizing the premise as “childish” or “clichéd.”

However, the rating for My Dearest Nemesis, Episode 3 suggest that the show is overcoming viewers’ early skepticism, possibly due to its engaging plot twists—like the potential reveal of Ban Ju Yeon’s gamer identity teased in recent episodes—and the undeniable chemistry between stars Moon Ga Young and Choi Hyun Wook.

While My Dearest Nemesis still trails behind its predecessor The Queen Who Crowns, which ended with a peak of 6.6%, its current trajectory is extremely promising.

Especially as, with a 12-episode run, the drama has ample room to build on this success as it airs every Monday and Tuesday night.

What is the My Dearest Nemesis plot?

Starring Moon Ga Young as Baek Su Jeong and Choi Hyun Wook as Ban Ju Yeon, My Dearest Nemesis blends workplace dynamics with a quirky enemies-to-lovers storyline rooted in the characters’ shared past as online gamers.

The series, which is adapted from Hye Jin Yang’s popular webtoon Black Salt Dragon, follows Baek Su Jeong, a no-nonsense team leader at Yongseong Department Store, and Ban Ju Yeon, her perfectionist new boss with a hidden gamer identity.

Their history dates back 16 years to an online game where Ju Yeon, under the alias “Black Dragon,” confessed his feelings to Su Jeong’s character, only to face rejection when she realized he was not as old as he said he was.

Now reunited in a professional setting, their evolving relationship is keeping fans hooked.

For those yet to tune in, My Dearest Nemesis is airing on tvN in South Korea, and streams internationally on platforms like Viki, where the Korean drama is currently earning an extremely high average of 9.7 out of 10 rating from almost 4,200 subscribers.

Meanwhile, last night’s nationwide rating boost proves this rom-com is worth keeping an eye on as it carves out its place in the competitive world of K-dramas.
