Goryeo-Khitan War Ep 5 gets highest rating yet – #3 most-watched TV show in Korea on Saturday

The KBS 2 historical drama Goryeo-Khitan War (aka Korea-Khitan War) is still doing phenomenally well in the ratings in South Korea, with its latest episode last night earning the K-drama’s highest rating yet.
According to Nielsen Korea, Goryeo-Khitan War, Episode 5 grabbed 7.5 percent of the audience share nationwide, which is an increase from its previous episode’s rating of 7.0 percent.
In Seoul, the KBS2 drama saw a similar increase, with Episode 5 earning 7.0 percent of the audience share, which is up from Episode 4’s rating of 6.4 percent.
Both ratings placed Goryeo-Khitan War, Episode 5 as the third most-watched show on Korean TV for all of Saturday.
Where can you watch Goryeo-Khitan War?
While the drama is airing on KBS2 every Saturday and Sunday at 21:25 (KST) in South Korea, it can be difficult to watch outside the country in some areas of the world, as the licensing for the historical drama has been spread out between several streaming platforms.
In North America, both Kocowa and Viki are streaming Goryeo-Khitan War, but it isn’t available on either platform in Europe where I currently live.
Netflix is also airing the drama in a few Asian countries, but not others, and has also selectively released it in a few other countries around the world. (Not in Austria, where I live)
You can also watch it on Amazon Prime Video, but via Kocowa only. (Not available in Austria)
It is no wonder then that so many Korean drama fans are reporting watching the K-drama on non-legal sites, simply because it is so difficult to find on legitimate streaming platforms for many.
A shame, as the drama looks superb. If you can find somewhere to watch it.
Meanwhile, I will be binge-watching the available episodes on Viki, as I will be back in the U.S. next month and can (hopefully) easily view it there.
