New Isekai Office Worker trailer just makes me even more impatient
Being a huge fan of Boys’ Love literature, you can only imagine how excited I am for the upcoming Isekai Office Worker: The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter anime to drop.
After all, we don’t get that many BL anime at all, and this one is based on hit light novel and manga series I have been collecting since the first volumes dropped in English a few years ago.
Today, I am even more thrilled as a new Isekai Office Worker: The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter trailer has just dropped, and it’s a trailer that does a great job of introducing office worker (well, accountant) himself Seiichiro Kondo, some of the fun characters he meets when he is suddenly isekai-d into another world and, of course, military man Aresh Indolark, the man who falls in love with him.
The art style appears true to the manga, the voice actors are how I imagined the characters to speak, and the animation looks decent. And, even if it wasn’t, it’s Boys’ Love romance, and I’m all in.
From this Isekai Office Worker trailer alone though, it’s now making it even more difficult to wait until January when the anime drops. Right?

Main Isekai Office Worker cast
The main and supporting voice actors have also been confirmed, and it is an excellent cast. They are:
- Kento Ito (Kirito in Twilight Out of Focus) as Seiichiro Kondo
- Tomoaki Maeno (Yamanbagari in Touken Ranbu Kai Douden) plays Aresh Indrak
- Seiichiro Yamashita (Cid in The Eminence in Shadow) is Norbert
- Hiroki Tochi (Zanzou in Sengoku Youko) voices Kamil
- Tomohiro Yamaguchi (Yuu in Detectives These Days Are Crazy) is Yurius
- Yuna Kamakura (Satoko in Sasaki and Miyano) plays Yua Shirashi
- Takaaki Torashima (Jean in A Wild Last Boss Appeared!) is voicing Ist
- Yuki Ono (Kouki in A Star Brighter Than the Sun) as Siegvold
Isekai Office Worker theme songs and plot
The anime’s theme songs have also been announced — ‘Magic‘ by Kobore as the OP, and ‘Back to Back’ performed by Morisaki Win as its ED — although we haven’t, as yet, heard any snippets.
As for the Isekai Office Worker plot, it’s your basic isekai story, but this time it’s an office worker who ends up in a fantasy world and is desperate to find work as an accountant, rather than just be given money and, thus, live a lazy do-nothing life, after being summoned there by mistake.
The 11 best Boys’ Love anime characters of recent years – do you know all these yaoi boys?
Here’s how the original manga explains it:
One day, 29-year-old Seiichiro Kondo is caught up in the summoning of a saint and transported to another world. Working day and night as an assistant manager in the accounting department, Seiichiro has developed a corporate slave mentality, and he demands work in his new world. However, all he’s given is a simple job: stamping an outrageous budget application.
Seiichiro is furious at the sloppy work of the kingdom’s royal accounting department, also known as the “diversion department,” and sets out to rebuild the accounting department!
During those days, Seiichiro obtains a “nutritional supplement that blows away fatigue.” No more stomach aches! No more migraines! No more numbness in the neck, shoulders, and back! He can work even harder! Seiichiro is thrilled by the wonder of the new world, but the nutritional supplement from the other world has some shocking side effects that put his life in danger!
Seiichiro has no magical powers, so in order to be saved, he needs to be “inserted” by someone with magical powers… Seiichiro readily accepts the situation, saying “If it helps,” and entrusts himself to the handsome, taciturn commander of the Third Knights, Alesh (male), but…
A hilarious BL story of a corporate slave with no mutual understanding.
Check out the new Isekai Office Worker trailer. Now isn’t that a Boys’ Love lovers dream? Look out for the anime in January.
