Adventures in Subduing the Demons’ Jiang Hao character PV shows off his Gold Scale’s Wrath power

We just got a new Adventures in Subduing the Demons character PV via YOUKU’s YouTube channel and, as you might expect, it is for Jiang Hao.
Jiang Hao is the Chinese donghua’s protagonist and is a young man from the modern world, but is transported into a prehistoric wilderness after he does research that leads him to the place where he saw his father being sucked into after an epic fight against powerful supernatural entities.
In the Jiang Hao character PV, which joins those for Yue Ying and the Ghost Witch, we see the young man determined to do everything he can to make sure his family isn’t hurt.
And that includes an incantation that brings forth his dragon-based Gold Scale’s Wrath power. A power that can quickly annihilate any demons or other monsters challenging him.
In true donghua form, we also know Jiang Hao has suddenly become powerful as his dark hair becomes silver! (smirk)
Jiang Hao’s character PV ends with the declaration:
When shrouded in darkness, I believe in the light. I am the sun.
What is Adventures in Subduing the Demons?
The upcoming fantasy, martial arts, action adventure donghua (aka 山海伏魔录) is the latest release from production company/streaming platform YOUKU.
It begins in the modern world, but quickly moves to an ancient almost-prehistoric world where Jiang Hao finds himself forced to battle increasingly powerful demons and mythical creatures as he travels the land in search of his father.
From trailers released so far, the donghua’s animation looks exceptionally smooth and appears to be populated with extremely well-designed characters and creatures.
While, sure, it may turn out to be yet another martial arts donghua with the same overpowered and not-too-bright MC we, unfortunately, see a lot in series coming out of China, it also… may not.
In other words, from the scenes from the donghua featuring high-quality CGI and animation released so far, this one is worth an initial watch.
