A Virtuous Business, Jeongnyeon and Iron Family all grab highest ever ratings on successful Sunday night

Sunday evening in South Korea was an excellent night for K-dramas Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born, A Virtuous Business and Iron Family, as all three dramas earned their highest ratings yet.
With two of the Korean dramas (Jeongnyeon and A Virtuous Business) just mid-way through their runs, and Iron Family only a third the way through its scheduled episodes, it is also safe to say we will likely see even higher ratings as new episodes for each drama are released.
A Virtuous Business, Jeongnyeon and Iron Family dominate the airwaves
One of the night’s big winners, A Virtuous Business, Episode 6 was in first place in its time slot on Sunday night.
That was due to its 6.03 percent of the nationwide ratings (up from it’s previous episode’s 5.07 percent), and 6.18 percent in Seoul (up from Episode 5’s viewership of 5.55 percent).
Heading into it second half then, the Korean drama has set itself up nicely for even larger audiences to come.
Considering A Virtuous Business also climbed high up the Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart last Tuesday as well, it’s safe to say the cast and staff must have had a very good week.
Meanwhile, Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born, Episode 6 was also at its halfway point last night, as it grabbed its highest ratings so far.
They were 13.38 percent nationwide (up from 10.21 percent for the K-drama’s previous episode), and 13.74 percent in Seoul (up from Episode 5’s rating of 10.18 percent).
Amazing ratings considering Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born kicked off its run with just 4.84 percent nationwide and 5.67 percent in Seoul.

Finally, the biggest winner of Sunday night was the weekend drama Iron Family.
It also saw its highest ratings of its run last night with 17.6 percent of the nationwide audience, and 16.5 percent in Seoul.
Those ratings, as always, made Iron Family the most-watched show of any kind on South Korean TV for the entire week.
