The just-released Chinese mini-drama Eastern Heretic and Western Venom has already exceeded 20000 on the Tencent heat index, even though it only premiered a few hours ago.
The eight-episode drama is the second in the four-part prequel to the hit 2024 drama The Legend of Heroes, and follows on from Nine Yin True Sutra, which came out on July 26th.
A celebratory poster for Eastern Heretic and Western Venom grabbing 20000 on the heat index milestone, featuring stars Gao Wei Guang and Zhou Yi Wei, was uploaded to the Tencent Video Weibo account today, with the remark:
