Kick Kick Kick Kick Ep 3 sees slight ratings increase after last week’s fall but still struggling

The ongoing KBS2 drama Kick Kick Kick Kick premiered on February 5th in South Korea to 2.1 percent in the nationwide ratings, but then saw a decrease to half of its initial ratings when Episode 2 aired the following day.
Last night, Kick Kick Kick Kick, Episode 3 aired to a slight increase in its ratings compared to its previous episode, but the Korean drama still seems to be struggling to gain any traction.
Last night’s nationwide rating proved that as the K-drama’s third episode garnered just 1.2 percent of the audience share, up from Episode 2’s viewership of 1.0 percent.
International ratings for Kick Kick Kick Kick
Ratings from international viewers are not much better than from those in Korea, with My Drama List users currently rating the so-called “comedy” a low 7.6 out of 10, with commenters calling it “unfunny”.
The drama is also struggling on Viki, where it is airing for international subscribers, with the 35 people currently rating it giving it an average of just 6.8 out of 10 — an incredibly low rating from users of that site.
Comments from some of the users describe the Korean drama as “chaotic”, “noisy” and “painful to endure”.
Most are also blaming the script and the direction for the drama’s over-the-top performances.
Let’s see how well Kick Kick Kick Kick does then when its fourth episode airs later on tonight, but if things continue in this vein, it could very well end up the most unsuccessful K-drama of 2025.
A shame as, with its excellent main cast of Ji Jin Hee, Lee Kyu Hyung, Baek Ji Won, and Lee Min Jae, the actors deserved better.
A better script, for instance.
