If you are like me, you were dying for Chief Hong to tell Hye-jin he loves her, or vice versa, since the first episode of Hometown Cha Cha Cha.
Of course, even though we knew the pair had feelings for each other long before they did (could Chief Hong have been any more aggressive after Ji Seong-hyun asked if Hye-jin was seeing anyone?), it took them a fair while to sort things out.
Eventually, though, Hye-jin tells Chief Hong she loves him in Episode 10 of Hometown Cha Cha Cha, and the romance is on from there.
That confession scene also came with one of the prettiest songs from the Hometown Cha Cha Cha soundtrack.
But what is the song called?
What is the song playing when Hye-jin tells Chief Hong she loves him and he kisses her?
The song that begins soon after Hye-jin says “I like you. I have feelings for you” and as Chief Hong kisses her is called ‘Here Always‘ and is sung by Seungmin from the South Korean boy band Stray Kids.
The softly and sweetly romantic song is one of the loveliest tracks on the Hometown Cha Cha Cha soundtrack, not only for its gorgeous melody, but also for its romantic lyrics (in full here):

Seungmin’s ‘Here Always‘ also came with a music video featuring scenes of Chief Hong and Hye-jin from various episodes of Hometown Cha Cha Cha, interspersed with footage of Seungmin in the studio singing the track.
