While the ongoing Korean drama Welcome to Samdalri has been increasing in the ratings ever since its first episode aired on December 2nd, it would not have been surprising if the drama’s 10th episode that aired earlier tonight had experienced a ratings drop.
After all, Welcome to Samdalri, Episode 10 did air on JTBC both on New Year’s Eve, and also directly opposite the 2023 KBS Drama Awards.
That is why the rating for Episode 10 of Welcome to Samdalri was superb.
Especially considering the 8.22 percent it earned was not only already a high rating, but also the second highest rating the K-drama has garnered so far.
Then again, ever since the drama’s first episode aired to the lowest rating of the series, it has proven it has staying power as each subsequent episode earned a bigger and bigger audience.
Over on Netflix, where Welcome to Samdalri is airing for international viewers, the drama is also seeing similar success with two weeks on the Netflix Top 10 Most-Watched Non-English TV Show chart already and more than 12 million hours viewed so far.
Welcome to Samdalri stars Ji Chang Wook and Shin Hye Sun, and airs every Saturday and Sunday at 22:30 (KST) on JTBC.
With six more episodes of the Korean rom-com to come, its next one will air and stream on Saturday, January 6th, 2024.
