The second installment in the Weak Hero drama series — Weak Hero: Class 2 — hit Netflix on April 25th and immediately catapulted to #1 on the Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart for the period 21st to 27th April, 2025.
Meanwhile, its predecessor Weak Hero: Class 1 is at #8 for its fifth week on the chart.
According to the latest data via Netflix’s Tudum, Weak Hero: Class 2 climbed to #1 soon after it premiered on the platform on April 25th due to being viewed 6.1 million times for a total watch time of 34.9 million hours. So far.
The Korean coming-of-age drama was also in the Top 10 in 63 countries, and in the #1 spot in 9 countries — Bolivia, Peru, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Oman, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and Thailand.
A remarkable performance for a K-drama that only hit the streaming platform on Friday, and had climbed to the top of the chart by Sunday.
Weak Hero: Class 1 performance on Netflix Top 10
As for its prequel, Weak Hero: Class 1, that was released on Netflix on March 25th after initially premiering on Viki back in November, 2022.
Upon its release, it shot to #2 on the same Netflix Top 10 during the first week of its release, followed by #7 during its second week, #6 on its third week, and back to #7 on its fourth week.
This week, Weak Hero: Class 1 is still on the Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart — this time at #8 — and this is due to the K-drama being viewed 1.9 million times for a total number of hours of 10.5 million in the last week.
Not bad for a show that first came out in November, 2022, and that a huge number of Korean drama fans have already watched, eh?
Weak Hero: Class 1 stars Park Ji Hoon, Choi Hyun Wook, Kim Su Gyeom, and Hong Kyung, while Class 2 has Park Ji Hoon returning alongside Ryeo Un, Choi Min Yeong, Lee Min Jae, Bae Na Ra, and Lee Jun Young.
Congratulations to the cast, staff and crew of both seasons — as both of these rankings are quite an achievement.
