The Midnight Romance in Hagwon, Ep 4 sees huge ratings increase – #1 most-watched show on cable

As I predicted yesterday, The Midnight Romance in Hagwon, Episode 4 aired last night to a big ratings increase.
Audience measurement company Nielsen Korea is reporting The Midnight Romance in Hagwon, Episode 4 earned nationwide ratings of 4.80 percent, versus the all-time low of 3.01 percent the drama earned on Saturday night.
That is an almost 2.00 percent audience share increase and, in my opinion, only a precursor of things to come as more people wake up to just how good the tvN drama has turned out to be.
The Korean romance drama performed even better with audiences in Seoul, grabbing a full 2.00 percent viewership increase last night as it jumped from Saturday night’s 4.00 percent to Sunday night’s 6.05 percent.
The drama was also the #1 watched show on cable TV in South Korea for all of Sunday — both nationwide and with Seoul audiences.

Meanwhile, over on My Drama List, The Midnight Romance in Hagwon is still earning the 8.0 out of 10 rating it was earning after Episode 3, so seems to have settled in to a pretty solid ratings groove (706 users rating it so far).
The ratings from users of IMDB have dropped it from 7.7 to 7.6 but, again, it is a tiny group of people (46) so not really worth considering when deciding whether to watch it or not. (Note: Anything below a few hundred I usually take with a grain of salt, as there are too many people who “hate rate”).
Especially as people who watch a drama through till the end will often wait until it has finished to leave a rating.
And, of course, Viki viewers (560 of them so far) are still rating the Korean drama a very high 9.3 out of 10.
The Midnight Romance in Hagwon stars the superb main leads Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won.
Its next episode will air next Saturday, April 25th on tvN and on Viki.
