The South Korean drama The Escape of the Seven, Episode 15 ratings came out via Nielsen Korea a few hours ago after the drama aired last night, and they aren’t great.
According to Nielsen, The Escape of the Seven, Episode 15 ratings were the drama’s lowest ever, falling from last week’s 5.6 percent to last night’s 5.3 percent nationwide.
The Korean revenge drama also experienced a similar fall in Seoul, although it didn’t quite hit its lowest level as that occurred with Episode 11.
Last night’s rating then was 5.5 percent from the Seoul audience, which is down from Episode 14’s 5.7 percent.
International viewers of The Escape of the Seven
It seems it isn’t just Korean audiences who have become disillusioned with the SBS TV drama either as users of My Drama List, who were originally rating the drama an 8.3 out of 10 after Episode 3 aired, are now rating it a 7.9 out of 10 after Episode 15.
A low score even for users of that site.
Although several are saying, even though they find the events of the over-the-top drama annoying, they are still hooked.
Meanwhile, the situation is even worse over on IMDB where The Escape of the Seven has dropped to an incredibly low 5.7 out of 10.
On Viki, however, where the drama is streaming for international audiences, The Escape of the Seven is still being rated an 8.5 out of 10, which at least suggests the K-drama is being fairly rated by people actually watching it and not by trolls on IMDB upset over who knows what this week.
Personally, while I think the overly dramatic acting on The Escape of the Seven can sometimes be annoying, like others have mentioned the drama is still so darned addictive I am looking forward to its second season.
And, yes, the SBS drama has already been greenlit for a Season 2 in 2024.
The penultimate episode of The Escape of the Seven will air in South Korea on SBS later on tonight, with international viewers able to watch it on Viki soon after.
