The Atypical Family Ep 6 earns highest rating yet – those cliffhangers definitely maintaining audiences

The latest data is out from Nielsen Korea for every Korean drama airing on Sunday night and, let’s just say, all four performed extremely well.
So much so, Missing Crown Prince, The Midnight Romance in Hagwon and The Atypical Family all grabbed their highest ratings yet — both from nationwide audiences, and in Seoul.
In the case of The Atypical Family, Episode 6, while the JTBC drama didn’t see as big of a jump in the nationwide ratings as the others, it still earned a very nice audience share increase on Sunday night.
That rating was 4.17 percent nationwide, which was an increase from Saturday night’s 3.88 percent.
The Korean fantasy romance drama, however, saw a much bigger ratings jump in Seoul where it moved from Saturday’s already solid 4.33 percent to Sunday’s 5.46 percent.
It also earned the #1 spot in its time slot.
With Saturday night’s cliffhanger ending though (the writer has been brilliant with these in almost every episode throughout), it’s hardly surprising people tuned in for Sunday’s episode.
The Atypical Family on Netflix
Outside Korea, the K-drama is also streaming on Netflix in some regions where, last week, it managed to grab the #6 spot on their Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart.
The latest data from Netflix will be out tomorrow (Tuesday), so it will be interesting to see if The Atypical Family managed to maintain its #6 spot or, dare I say, increase it.
The Atypical Family stars Jang Ki Yong, Chun Woo Hee, Go Doo Shim and Claudia Kim.
The 12-episode Sat/Sun drama premiered on May 4th on JTBC, and is currently scheduled to run through June 9th, with Netflix adding new episodes every Saturday and Sunday.
It heads into its second half next week.
