Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, Episode 8 ratings back up as Sunday audience increases
The Korean fantasy drama Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, Episode 8 aired on tvN in South Korea last night and, as I predicted yesterday, with its ratings rising back up to close to the drama’s highest ever ratings.
According to the numbers from Nielsen Korea, the ratings for Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, Episode 8 were a 6.73 percent of the audience share nationwide, with a higher 7.98 percent in Seoul.
That means the episode was only .39 percent away from the drama’s highest rating (for Episode 2) nationwide and, in Seoul, even closer with just a .32 percent reduction in ratings.
Last night’s ratings for Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 also placed the supernatural fantasy drama in first place in its time slot.
In both regions of the country.
Viewership for each episode of Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 has also been consistently higher throughout than for the drama’s first season, so the folks at tvN should be pleased.
With only four more episodes of the drama to air then, we can probably except the Lee Dong Wook-led drama to continue its ratings rise with, hopefully, a new highest ever rating still to be achieved.

With Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, Episode 8 airing on tvN last night in South Korea, anyone in the country can now stream the episode via TVING.
Outside Korea, Amazon Prime Video is carrying the drama but, unfortunately, only in select regions so far.
The next two episodes of the drama are due to premiere on tvN next Saturday and Sunday at 21:20 (KST), followed by streams on TVING and Amazon Prime Video.
Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 will then finish up its planned 12-episode run on June 10th and 11th, 2023.
