See You In My 19th Life, Episode 2 brings Ban Ji Eum and Moon Seo Ha closer
The new Netflix K-drama See You In My 19th Life, Episode 2 is now up on the streaming platform after it aired in South Korea on tvN last night to increased ratings over its first episode.
According to Nielsen Korea, See You In My 19th Life, Episode 2 earned 5.48 percent of the audience share nationwide, which is an increase of 1.21 percent over its first episode.
In Seoul, the beautifully produced fantasy romance performed even better, with 6.07 percent of the audience share in its time slot.
An increase of 1.14 percent over the drama’s premiere.
Considering See You In My 19th Life, with superb acting by both leads, exceptional performances from the child cast, a well-written plot and beautiful cinematography, is one of the best “old-school” Korean romances released in a while, I am not surprised the drama’s ratings have increased so quickly.
Especially as, during Episode 2, the chemistry between Ban Ji Eum (played by Shin Hye Sun) and Moon Seo Ha (Ahn Bo Hyun) begins to heat up as they get closer, and as Ji Eum reveals a little more of her past.
See You In My 19th Life ratings likely to increase further
In all likelihood, if the plot stays as tightly-written as it was in the first two episodes, and if the events in it don’t suddenly become unbelievable or ridiculous, See You In My 19th Life will likely only improve in the ratings.
Especially as the K-drama is just 12 episodes long, so we won’t be subjected to a dragged out plot like we are during so many 16-episode-plus dramas nowadays.
See You In My 19th Life stars Shin Hye Sun, Ahn Bo Hyun, Ha Yoon Kyung, and Ahn Dong Goo.
The drama airs on tvN in South Korea every Saturday and Sunday evening at at 21:20 (KST). It also streams via TVING.
Outside Korea, the first two episodes of See You In My 19th Life are streaming now on Netflix.
The next episode will premiere on Saturday, June 24th.
