How do I know the upcoming Korean drama Perfect Crown will be a massive success?
Well…. not only does it star current heartthrob Byeon Woo Seok (star of the smash hit Lovely Runner) and incredibly popular actress/singer IU (When Life Gives You Tangerines), but the MBC drama is also the #1 show on the most recent Most Buzzworthy Drama list.
Released by Good Data Corporation, this week’s Most Buzzworthy Drama list also has Perfect Crown in the #1 spot, even though the K-drama itself does not even premiere its first episode until April 10th.
If that wasn’t already enough, the Korean drama’s leads, IU and Byeon Woo Seok, are ranked at #3 and #4 on the just released Most Buzzworthy Drama Actors list.
With that kind of buzz then, yep, I can guarantee you this one will be a huge hit. Especially as, even though I am not generally into fantasy romance drama’s, this one has been at the top of my Must Watch list since it was announced.

Perfect Crown is a new comedy romance drama that is directed by Park Joon Hwa (Alchemy of Souls) and written by Yoo Ah In.
It’s a 12-episode series that kicks off on April 10th and is scheduled to air through May 9th, 2026.
If you are in South Korea, look out for episodes dropping on MBC every Friday and Saturday at 21:40 (KST), while international K-drama fans can watch it on Disney+.
