New Doctor Slump poster has Park Shin Hye/Park Hyung Sik looking relaxed while opposite is actually true

Michelle Topham December 27, 2023

The upcoming Korean drama Doctor Slump has a new poster out (see below) that gives us a small insight into what we can expect from the JTBC drama.

The Doctor Slump poster features stars Park Hyung Sik and Park Shin Hye sitting outside a local shop banked with vending machines and video game machines eating ice creams.

The two doctors, Nam Ha Neul (played by Park Shin Hye) and Yeo Jeong Woo (Park Hyung Sik) look relaxed and as if they don’t have a care in the world, while the opposite is actually true.

What is Doctor Slump about?

The new JTBC drama follows doctors Yeo Jeong Woo and Nam Ha Neul as they both experience the worst moments of their lives, and during this time are reunited after losing touch after high school.

Yeo Jeong Woo is a famous plastic surgeon, but because of a medical incident, he suddenly finds himself in an emotional crisis.

Meanwhile, Nam Ha Neul is an anesthesiologist who spent much of her life studying, followed by extreme dedication to her job, only to suddenly experience burnout as she realizes much of her life simply doesn’t make her happy.

Doctor Slump is being directed by Oh Hyun Jong (Find Me in Your Memory), and was written by Baek Sun Woo (My Roomate is a Gumho and What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?)

Alongside Park Hyung Sik and Park Shin Hye, the K-drama stars Yoon Park, and Keong Seong Ha, with Jang Hye Jin, Hyun Bong Sik, Yoon Sang Hyeon, Oh Dong Min, Park Won Ho and Kang Sang Jun in supporting roles.

The 16-episode drama premieres on JTBC on January 27th, 2024 with international streaming via Netflix.

New episodes will then stream every Saturday and Sunday for eight weeks until the finale on March 17th, 2024.

Mark your calendars, and check out the official Doctor Slump trailer to see what you can expect.
