Midnight Studio Ep 3 has small ratings drop as Nothing Uncovered premieres in same time slot

The ratings are out for the Korean drama The Midnight Studio, Episode 3, which aired in South Korea on Genie TV and ENA last night, and they are pretty good.
According to the numbers released by Nielsen Korea, the The Midnight Studio, Episode 3 ratings nationwide were 2.34 percent.
That is only a negligible drop of less than 0.16 percent versus its previous episode’s highest rating of 2.50 percent.
Thus likely proving the audience the Korean fantasy romance drama attracted with its first episode (2.10 percent) isn’t going anywhere.
At least yet.
In Seoul, however, the K-drama performed even better, with Midnight Studio, Episode 3 grabbing its highest ratings yet (2.56 percent), which is an increase of 0.12 versus its second episode.
Why did The Midnight Studio‘s ratings drop?
While this, of course, can’t be proved, the likely culprit for Monday night’s small ratings drop is the premiere of the new KBS2 melodrama Nothing Uncovered.
That drama kicked off last night in the same time slot as The Midnight Studio to slightly higher ratings (2.8 percent).
In other words, the Joo Won-led drama seems to definitely be holding its own so far considering it has new competition, so it will be interesting to see what the ratings end up being for both dramas when tonight’s data is released tomorrow.
The Midnight Studio cast, staff and streaming platforms
The Midnight Studio is directed by Song Hyun Wook (The King’s Affection).
The Korean drama stars Joo Won, Kwon Nara, Yoo In Soo, and Eum Moon Suk, and was written by screenwriter Kim Yi Rang, who also wrote the popular novel the series is based on.
The next episode of the K-drama airs/streams later on tonight on Genie TV and ENA in South Korea, with Viki streaming it internationally.
Viewers over there, by the way, are currently rating it an exceptionally high 9.7 out of 10.
