Hours before the next episode of the ongoing Korean romance drama Lovely Runner airs tonight, broadcaster tvN has released four new stills for the upcoming episode.
Those stills feature main leads Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon in scenes from Lovely Runner, Episode 7, which take place during an event at school and then later in the evening.
The K-drama is based on a light novel written by author Kim Bang, which was turned into a webtoon called Tomorrow’s Best by illustrator Doong Doong.
The tvN time-slip fantasy drama is co-directed by Kim Tae Yeob (When My Love Blooms) and Yoon Jong Ho (Goblin), and was written by Lee Shi Eun.
It follows idol Ryoo Sun Jae (played by Byeon Woo Seok) who dies at a young age, and Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon), a fan who, after Sun Jae’s death, manages to go back in time to his high school days to save him.
Lovely Runner airs every Monday and Tuesday evening on tvN in South Korea at 20:50 (KST).
The drama has been receiving solid ratings on South Korean TV since it premiered on April 8th, and is almost always in first or second place in its time slot.
It also streams via TVING in Korea, U-Next in Japan and Vidio in Indonesia.
Outside South Korea, Viki is airing the drama for its international viewers, with the K-drama currently receiving an extremely high average rating of 9.8 out of 10 on the platform from over 11,000 viewers.
Not a surprise really, however, as the plot is well-written, the story is touching and sweet, and its main leads are giving superb performances in their sometimes quite demanding roles.
