Actor Kwak Jin Seok has been officially confirmed as joining the cast of the ongoing smash-hit K-drama Queen of Tears.
He will be playing Choi Ki Wook, the president of a real estate brokerage company who is collaborating with Yoon Eun Seong (played by Park Sung Hoon) on a project.
Queen of Tears itself delves into the love saga between a Queens Group conglomerate heiress and her lawyer husband who are currently in a crisis in their marriage, while it also intricately explores their family dynamics and the challenges the pair face because of them.
Kwak Jin Seok’s previous work
Kwak Jin Seok’s appearance in Queen of Tears will be the 42-year-old actor’s first project for 2024. (Hopefully, it won’t be his last!)
Last year, he appeared in a support role in the crime drama Evilive alongside Shin Ha Kyun, and Kim Young Kwang as well as made a cameo appearance in The First Responders, Season 2.
He also had a support role in last year’s biggest Korean movie of 2024 — the political thriller 12.12: The Day — playing the head of security at the Prime Minister’s official residence, as well as appeared in other popular film’s Smugglers and Soulmate.
In the past, Kwak Jin Seok has appeared in K-dramas Unlock My Boss, Oh My Ladylord, Sweet Home, Vagabond, Bad Papa, Good Job, and Friend, Our Legend, and in the films Spiritwalker and Okay! Madam to name just a few.
The next episode of Queen of Tears, which stars the stellar main cast of Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Ji Won and Park Sung Hoon will air tomorrow night, Saturday, April 6th on tvN, and stream via Netflix.

And yes, expect the next episode to grab another ratings high for the hit Korean drama, which is now officially one of the most-watched Korean dramas of all time, as it just doesn’t seem to be slowing down.
