With The Fiery Priest 2 ending its run this week, as you might expect, the K-drama’s star Kim Nam Gil also just hit #1 on the just-released December Actor Brand Reputation Rankings.
The Actor Brand Reputation Rankings was released via the Korean Business Research Institute, and follows 100 specific actors who have or are starring K-dramas, movies, or OT series for the period November 25th through December 25th, 2024.
Seo Hyun Jin, who is currently starring in The Trunk on Netflix, is at #2 on the list, followed by Im Ji Yeon, star of the ongoing The Tale of Lady Ok, is at #3, while Hwang Jung Min ( star of hit Korean films Mission Cross and I, The Executioner) is at #4, and Choo Young Woo (The Tale of Lady Ok) is in the #5 spot.
Filling out the Top 10 on the December Actor Brand Reputation Rankings is
- 6. Lee Jung Jae (Squid Game)
- 7. Yoo Yeon Seok (When the Phone Rings)
- 8. Lee Ha Nee (The Fiery Priest 2)
- 9. Gong Yoo (The Trunk and Squid Game 2)
- 10. Chae Soo Bin (When the Phone Rings)
All, of course, are some of South Korea’s most well-known and most popular actors, and have given performances recently that easily placed them on the list.
The list will be updated again next month, so let’s see who manages to remain on it and who manages to dislodge others going forward, eh?
