Hey K-drama fans, get ready to mark your calendars because there is some exciting news brewing in the world of Korean entertainment!
According to a report today from Korea’s Spot TV News, it seems like the talented actress Jung Ryeo Won (May It Please the Court) might just be gearing up to take the lead in the upcoming K-drama Hello Singles (working title).
While details about the plot and the production company behind Hello Singles are still under wraps, reports out of Korea say Jung Ryeo Won has already received an offer to headline the series.
From the title of the drama too, it suggests it may be a rom-com, and I am all on board for Jung Ryeo Won in another one of those.

As fans eagerly await more information about this intriguing new project, let’s just imagine the now-43-year-old actress bringing her trademark charm and talent to yet another captivating K-drama?
Now doesn’t that thought make your year? I know it does mine.
However, it is worth noting, as of now, Jung Ryeo Won’s camp (she is represented by H& Entertainment) has remained tight-lipped regarding these casting reports.
So, while the excitement is palpable, we will have to wait for an official statement to confirm her Hello Singles involvement.
Jung Ryeo Won in three K-dramas this year?
If Jung Ryeo Won does sign on the dotted line though, this would mark her third upcoming K-drama, with Graduation reportedly already filmed and due to premiere in June, and The Married Couple is Jobless still scheduled for 2024.
Interestingly, the actress took a hiatus from K-dramas and films last year, making this potential project all the more intriguing for her waiting fans.
So, let’s keep our fingers crossed and our eyes peeled for any updates regarding Jung Ryeo Won’s potential role in Hello Singles.
After all, with the Korean actress’s track record of delivering stellar performances, this upcoming series could be yet another must-watch addition to her repertoire.
Especially if she turns in a performance as good as her work in 2019’s Diary of a Prosecutor. (Man, I loved that drama)
