Doctor Cha Ep. 10 gets RECORD ratings despite Cha Jeong Suk’s PATHETIC WOMAN behavior

Doctor Cha, Episode 10 aired on Sunday night in South Korea and, if you thought its skyrocketing ratings may start to fall, think again.
Not only did Doctor Cha, Episode 10 earn its highest ratings of the drama yet, both nationwide and in Seoul, the medical-themed rom com also shot into fourth place as the most-watched drama in JTBC history.
That means it pushed Itaewon Class off its #4 perch, and is now closing fast on Sky Castle, the third most-watched drama in JTBC history.
For now, that is.
The official ratings for Doctor Cha, Episode 10 via Nielsen Korea scored the Uhm Jung Hwa-led drama 17.95 percent of the audience nationwide, which easily put it in first place in its time slot last night.
In Seoul, the ratings for the episode were a full percentage point better, with the drama’s tenth episode earning 18.92 percent.
Doctor Cha, Episode 10 infuriated some viewers
Considering the drama’s first episode premiered on April 15th to a 4.93 percent audience share nationwide, and then skyrocketed from there, it is highly like the last six episodes of the drama will earn even higher ratings, unless…
the screenwriter Jung Yeo Rang decides to send Doctor Cha (masterfully played by Uhm Jung Hwa) even further down the “pathetic woman route” she chose last night.
If so, according to comments from viewers across the Internet, many are likely to drop the drama before it ends as Cha Jeong Suk’s behavior in Episode 10 was weak and infuriating.
Personally, I doubt that will happen as, I believe at least, Jung Yeo Rang set Cha Jeong Suk up in the tenth episode to finally stop putting herself second and her grown-ass children first, and grab what she wants so she can finally create the happy life she has always wanted.
While dumping her vile husband (Kim Byung Chul) in the process, of course.
The next episode of Doctor Cha is due to air on JTBC in South Korea next Saturday, May 20th, with the rest of the K-drama airing on Saturday and Sunday at 22:30 (KST) until its finale on June 4th.
Viewers outside Korea (in some regions) can keep up via Netflix.
