Cho Yi Hyun to star in SBS drama My Brother’s House Is Empty? Here’s what we know so far

All of Us are Dead star Cho Yi Hyun is apparently in talks to star in a new SBS series called My Brother’s House Is Empty (working title).
According to Korea’s X Sports News, the 24-year-old actress has been cast in a role in the upcoming drama.
However, her agency, Artist Company, clarified soon after she is only considering an offer, and nothing has been decided as of yet.
The plot of My Brother’s House is Empty
As for the plot of the new SBS drama, My Brother’s House Is Empty is a contemporary romance that tells the story of what is thought to be a scandalous cohabitation between Cha Eun Myung, a third-generation chaebol, and Jae Jun Young, a top actor.
A popular web novel of the same name by Tae So Young, and a webtoon adaptation based on it by Lee Seo Hee, have also been released.
The plot follows protagonist Cha Eun Myung, who runs away from home after a conflict with her stepmother and stays at her friend Hee Young’s older brother’s house which, she believes, to have been left empty for a while.
Of course that turns out not to be true as, later, while taking a shower, Eun Myung encounters Hee Young’s brother, the landlord, who returns to the house unexpectedly.
Unfortunately, he is none other than popular film actor Jae Jun Young and, because of this, the two suddenly find themselves in an embarrassing situation when a scandal breaks out.
My Brother’s House is Empty is scheduled to begin filming some time in September, with no other cast announcements yet being made.
Cho Yi Hyun’s previous roles
Cho Yi Hyun, of course, is most recently known for her role as Jung Soon Deok in the popular KBS2 historical drama The Matchmakers.
Before that, she starred in All of Us are Dead, School 2021, and Hospital Playlist 1 and 2 (in a supporting role).
She also had starring roles in the films Metamorphosis and Ditto.
The Korean actress is currently working on the upcoming Netflix drama All of Us are Dead 2, and has also been named in a main role in both Summer Vacation and Vampire Chef, although no news has been heard about those dramas for over a year.
