Chief Detective 1958 Ep 10 ends series with 2nd highest rating ever and #1 in time slot

The now completed Korean drama Chief Detective 1958 ended its run on MBC TV last night with its second highest rating ever, and with a #1 spot in its time slot.
Numbers from Nielsen Korea show Chief Detective 1958, Episode 10 earned 10.6 percent of the audience nationwide, which is a solid increase from its previous episode’s already high 10.0 percent.
That rating also made the K-drama the second most-watched show of any kind on South Korea TV on Saturday, with only the popular weekend drama Beauty and Mr. Romantic beating it to the #1 spot with a rating of 16.2 percent.
Seoul audiences also tuned into Chief Detective 1958, Episode 10 in large numbers, with the drama also earning 10.6 percent there — which was a big jump from its previous episode’s 9.3 percent, and the highest rating the K-drama had ever earned in Seoul.
Both ratings gave the Korean crime drama very solid averages of 9.5 percent nationwide across all episodes, and 9.4 percent in Seoul.
Meanwhile the Korean drama is still ranking in the Top 10 on Disney+ in four countries — Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea.
Chief Detective 1958 stars Lee Je Hoon, Lee Dong Hwi, Choi Woo Sung and Yoon Hyun Soo.
All 10 episodes of the drama are now streaming internationally in some regions on Disney+.
A streaming platform that did its usual terrible job of promoting the Korean drama to its subscribers, or it would have been in the Top 10 in far more countries.
