With its rise up the chart Castaway Diva shows no sign of leaving Netflix’ Top 10 Most-Watched Non-English TV Shows
The Korean drama Castaway Diva is continuing to kick some major ass on Netflix, with the streaming platform’s Tudum website reporting Castaway Diva just spent its 3rd week on the Netflix Top 10 Most-Watched Non-English TV Shows chart for the week of November 13th to 19th, 2023.
After debuting on the chart for the week of October 30th to November 5th in the #9 slot, the following week the K-drama had moved up to the #6 position.
Now this week, the Korean drama’s third week on the chart, Castaway Diva is now in the #5 spot.
According to the world’s most popular streaming service, Castaway Diva earned 2 million views on its episode last week alone.
Those views gave the romantic comedy drama a total of more than 15.2 million hours viewed worldwide. A heckuva lot, eh?
Castaway Diva continuing to perform well on tvN in South Korea
Inside Korea, alongside Netflix, Castaway Diva is also airing on tvN every Saturday and Sunday at 21:20 (KST) where it is seeing ever increasing ratings.
So much so, the K-drama’s latest episode, Castaway Diva, Episode 8, aired on Sunday night to its highest ever ratings, and to a #1 slot on cable TV.
Castaway Diva stars Park Eun Bin, Kim Hyo Jin, Chae Jong Hyeop, Cha Hak Yeon, and Kim Joo Hun.
The drama tells the story of Seo Mok Ha (beautifully played by Park Eun Bin) who, ends up on a desert island as a teenager after heading to Seoul for a singing competition.
Stuck there alone for 15 years, she is eventually rescued and, once back in civilization, is still determined to have the singing career she had thought was lost to her forever.
The next episode of Castaway Diva will air on tvN on Saturday, November 25th at 21:20 (KST) with an upload to Netflix soon after.
