Byeon Woo Seok #1 in GoodData’s K-Drama Actor rankings – Kim Hye Yoon at #2

Yesterday, South Korea’s Good Data Corporation released its latest Buzzworthiness rankings of Korean actors and actresses for Week 5 of May, 2024 and, as you might expect, Lovely Runner actor Byeon Woo Seok is in the #1 spot.
Not only that, his co-star, Kim Hye Yoon is (deservedly) in the #2 spot.
Both actors were also in the same positions on the chart the previous week.
That means, even though Lovely Runner ended its 16-episode run on May 28th, three days before the ranking data ended, the K-drama’s stars still easily held onto their top spots. (see full rankings below)
Meanwhile, at #3 on the chart is Jung Ryeo Won, who is currently starring in The Midnight Romance in Hagwon, with Chun Woo Hee (The Atypical Family) at #4, and The Midnight Romance in Hagwon‘s Wi Ha Joon at #5.
Rounding out the Top 10 is Jang Ki Yong (The Atypical Family) at #6, Song Geon Hee (Lovely Runner) at #7, Ji Sung (Connection) at #8, Kim Hee Sun (Bitter Sweet Hell) at #9, and Chun Woo Hee also at #10 for The 8 Show.
Good Data Corporation creates its rankings by looking at data from news sources, blogs, online forums, videos, and social media posts, and then assessing what that means for the dramas/actors mentioned.
Lovely Runner was also the #1 show on their Buzzworthy OTT Drama chart (see above) grabbing 53.33 percent of the data assessed, and with its closest rival, The Atypical Family at #2, only being able to garner 7.29 percent of the interest.
The ongoing Netflix drama The 8 Show came in at #3 in the rankings with just 5.51 percent of the data analyzed.
Update, April, 2025 — Korean actor Byeon Woo Seok is still at #1 on the Rising Star Brand Reputation Rankings for April, 2025
