Buried Hearts Ep 2 earns superb ratings rise while airing opposite Undercover High School

Undercover High School couldn’t stop Buried Hearts continuing success
The latest SBS Friday-Saturday drama Buried Hearts aired its second episode on Saturday night to a substantial rise in ratings. Both from nationwide audiences, and those in Seoul.
Nielsen Korea is reporting Buried Hearts, Episode 2 grabbed 8.1 percent of the audience share, which was a very nice increase versus its first episode’s rating of 6.1 percent.
The SBS revenge drama saw similar results from audiences in Seoul, where it earned 7.8 percent of the audience compared to its previous episode’s 6.0 percent.
Both ratings are exceptionally good considering the drama airs directly opposite MBC’s Undercover High School, which also saw a ratings rise last night.
What are international audiences saying about Buried Hearts after Episode 2?
Interestingly, over on My Drama List (MDL), Buried Hearts has dropped from its initial rating of 8.4 to an 8.0 out of 10.
That, however, is completely expected as, most Korean dramas see a ratings drop on MDL as that site’s hard-to-please users bail on a new series after one or two episodes.
That is why most ratings on MDL are not particularly reputable until at least a drama’s halfway point, when it is solely being rated by people actually watching it.
Comments too are a mix of positive and negative, although the negative are currently outweighing those who like the Korean drama.
Then again, just like the ratings, the positive comments often tend to appear as the K-drama progresses, and not right at the beginning.
Meanwhile, the rating for Buried Hearts on IMDB has also dropped after Episode 2 — from an 8.6 to a still solid 8.2 out of 10.

But, with only 25 people rating the Korean drama on the site so far, that rating really is preliminary.
Buried Hearts stars Park Hyung Sik, Huh Joon Ho, Lee Hae Young and Hong Hwa Yeon.
It airs on SBS in South Korea on Friday and Saturday evenings, with Disney + streaming the Korean drama internationally.
The Korean drama’s next episode will air on Friday, February 28th.
