Are Arthdal Chronicles 2, Episode 10 ratings a precursor for drama’s final episodes?
Historical fantasy K-drama Arthdal Chronicles 2: The Sword of Aramun, Episode 10 aired to a big ratings jump in South Korea last night.
A jump that put the tvN drama in second place nationwide in its time slot, and in first place in Seoul.
The ratings jump also sets the Jang Dong Gun and Kim Ok Vin-led drama up nicely for an even higher audience share for its final two episodes, which will premiere on tvN next weekend.
In other words, hopefully, those increased ratings are a nice precursor of what the Arthdal Chronicles 2 cast and crew can expect for Episodes 11 and 12, as it would be nice for this superb fantasy drama to be waved off with its highest audience share of its run, wouldn’t it?
Especially as it has deserved far higher ratings throughout its run, and likely would have had them if it hadn’t been airing slap bang in the middle of the Asian Games and so had its episodes postponed more often than not.
Ratings for Arthdal Chronicles 2, Episode 10
According to the latest numbers from Nielsen Korea, Arthdal Chronicles 2, Episode 10 grabbed 4.35 percent of South Korea’s nationwide audience, which is a 1.18 percent rating increase over its previous episode’s 3.17 percent.
With viewers in Seoul, Episode 2 also saw a similar ratings increase, grabbing a slightly higher 4.54 percent, which is quite a bit up from Episode 9’s rating of 3.56 percent.
The superb tvN drama Arthdal Chronicles 2 stars Jang Dong Gun, Kim Ok Vin, Lee Joon Gi, and Shin Se Kyung.
The fantasy drama has aired on tvN every Saturday and Sunday at 21:20 (KST) since September 9th (well, when it wasn’t being bumped for the Asian Games).
Disney Plus, where it was in that platform’s Top 10 for 185 days this month, is currently streaming the K-drama for both Korean and international viewers.
The drama’s final two episodes will air on October 21st and 22nd on the same platforms.
