It’s Chinese actor Li Geng Yun‘s birthday, as he turns 29-years-old today.
In celebration, Tencent Video released a Happy Birthday poster featuring a gorgeous still from the actor’s upcoming drama Gu Le Feng Hua Lu (aka Ancient Music Records).
The drama stars Li Yi Tong (A Dream Within a Dream) and Chen Xin Hai (Feud), with Li Geng Yun as part of the supporting cast playing Luo Yang.
Along with the birthday poster of Li Geng Yun as Luo Yang, Tencent also commented how much they were looking forward to seeing him in the drama.
Unfortunately, we won’t be getting Ancient Music Records dropping on our screens any time soon, as filming for the C-drama only ended in April this year.
That generally means it will likely be the second quarter of 2026 before its first episodes drop.
Li Geng Yun’s career up until now
Primarily known for being a regular member of the Chinese reality show Become a Farmer (he’s appeared in all three seasons), the upcoming Ancient Music Records will only be Li Geng Yun’s second appearance in a Chinese drama.
His first was a supporting role in the 2025 drama Destiny of Love as Hu Er Sa.
But, with Ancient Music Records (Gu Le Feng Hua Lu) being a much bigger budget drama, and featuring major stars, hopefully this C-drama will be the one that skyrockets his acting career.
