Phantom Lawyer Ep 7 earns 2nd lowest ratings as In Your Radiant Season ends and KBO games air

Phantom Lawyer up against series finale of In Your Radiant Season and KBO games
Although, the ongoing SBS series Phantom Lawyer has been going gangbusters for the last couple of weeks, last night’s Episode 7 did not fare anywhere near as well.
Instead, Phantom Lawyer, Episode 7 saw a big drop in its ratings as it fell back to the K-drama’s 2nd-lowest ratings of its run so far.
Its nationwide rating, according to Nielsen Korea, fell from Episode 6’s viewership of 10.0 percent to Friday night’s 7.6 percent, which is even lower than the 7.8 percent it garnered for Episode 3, but still quite a bit higher than the 6.3 percent the Korean drama earned for its premiere.
The SBS drama saw a similar drop in Seoul, where it earned 7.3 percent versus last week’s 10.6 percent.
That being said, the MBC series In Your Radiant Season aired its series finale, with a higher rating than normal, and obviously syphoning off some viewers from Phantom Lawyer.
The big TV events that likely pulled viewers away from the SBS drama, however, were the various Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) games airing on TV channels in South Korea on Friday night.
It is currently only the second week of this year’s baseball season, which always means huge audiences at both live games and in front of TV sets.
In good news, though, Phantom Lawyer was still the #1 most-watched mini series of the day, and #1 in its time slot across all TV channels.
Phantom Lawyer‘s international ratings
As for internationally, the legal-themed K-drama is still the #4 most-watched show on the Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Series chart, and on the chart for its third week.
It hit its latest position due to being viewed 2 million times in the last week alone, for a total of 13.2 million hours.
The Yoo Yeon Seok and Esom-led series is also being rated incredibly high on Viki, where it is streaming internationally with subtitles in 14 languages.
Over there, almost 1,150 viewers are currently giving it an average rating of 9.6 percent, and with hugely positive comments to match.
Even the usually disgruntled folks at My Drama List are awarding the show an 8.1 out of 10, which believe me, is an excellent rating from them.
