The Glamorous Night proves its moderate success
The recently-released Chinese business-themed romance drama The Glamorous Night has just grabbed 25,000 on the Tencent Video heat index right before it ends its 24-episode run tomorrow.
Proving that, while it hasn’t been a major success, 25,000 is a decent score for a relatively short romance drama that didn’t get a huge amount of promotion before its premiere.
The C-drama’s moderate success was reported by Tencent on their social media accounts along with a new poster of the drama’s leads, and a message about the drama’s upcoming finale:
Beneath the surface of marriage, undercurrents never cease. Watch how Zhao Mei (played by Jiang Shu Ying) and Li Dong Ming (@Tong Da Wei) will face the sudden cracks in their emotional journey.
Will they join hands to fight together? Or will they each go their separate ways?
The drama itself premiered on Tencent Video in China, and on WeTV internationally, on January 28th and is due to drop its final episodes tomorrow.

Along with Jiang Shu Ying and Tong Da Wei, The Glamorous Night also stars Zhang Chao and Lan Ying Ying as the second leads, with a supporting cast that includes Ling Zhuo, Wu Yu Chen Ning, Wang Jian Xin, Liu En Shang, David Wang, Zeng Yi Xuan, Jiao Jun Yan and Adi Kan.
While I am only a few episodes in so far, if you enjoy a decently-written and acted workplace-themed drama that follows the lives and loves of a group of 30-somethings, I can wholeheartedly say this one is a solid watch.
