Plot Synopsis
The Perfect Suspect begins with what appears to be a perfectly executed crime in the city of Xinggang — a case that shocks the public and tests the limits of law enforcement. When several children go missing, all seen wearing red jackets and marked with cryptic Arabic numeric tags, it quickly becomes clear that this is no ordinary criminal. The alleged “perfect crime” forces former criminal investigation captain turned lawyer Zhong Ning to return to the investigative forefront, blending legal acumen with deep psychological insight as the case unfolds.
What begins as a seemingly straightforward missing-child case evolves into a thought-provoking psychological duel involving intricate motives, personal trauma, and the dark corners of human nature.
