Taxi Driver 3 remains #1 on list even though it ended over a week ago
To no surprise to anyone, Good Data Corporation’s weekly Most-Buzzworthy Drama list is out and, yet again, SBS TV’s Taxi Driver 3 is still #1 on the list.
This after Taxi Driver 3 aired its final episode on January 10th, and grabbed very high ratings. while its lead Lee Je Hoon was also awarded the Daesang at the SBS Drama Awards in December.
It was the second time the actor had received the award for the Taxi Driver franchise.
Taxi Driver 3 hit the #1 spot again, followed by Disney+’s Made in Korea at #2, the JTBC drama Surely Tomorrow at #3, the tvN drama Spring Fever in #4 place, and with MBC’s very popular The Judge Returns rounding out the Top 5.
Like every week, Good Data Corporation’s list is calculated from mentions for each drama on blogs, social media, online forums, in news articles and from videos.
Is the Most-Buzzworthy Drama list important?
No, not really. In fact, it’s more of a made-up thing by a South Korean data analytics company trying to get attention for their work (and they succeeded).
But it does give would-be advertisers an idea as to what K-drama fans are interested in — both positively and negatively — as, yes, even if a drama is deemed “most buzzworthy”, that doesn’t always mean it is popular or well-liked.
Just that people are talking about it.
