The third season of the superb Chinese historical mystery series Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty premiered November 8th and, with the C-drama performing so incredibly well, streaming service iQIYI is keeping the promo pieces coming thick and fast.
In that vein, yesterday we got 14 Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty: To Changan stills of scenes from the first few episodes that are, as always with the cinematography in this drama, utterly gorgeous.
The new Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty 3 stills feature a ton of actors as well.

From leads Yang Xu Wen, Yang Zhi Gang, Gao Si Wen, Sun Xue Ning, Chen Chuang, and Anson Shi to supporting cast members like Yue Li Na, Ma Wen Bo and Ma Fin Ding — a substantial number of actors, people who make this drama as superb as it is, are promoted.

And, if you love obsessing over stills from your favorite Chinese dramas as much as I do (well, they’re always absolutely beautiful, aren’t they?), don’t miss the character visuals that were released earlier from STOTD, Season 3 either.
The Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty: To Changan release schedule
As of today, November 11th, Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty: To Changan currently has 12 episodes out.
The first five are available free-to-watch (with ads), while Episode 6 onwards are only available for VIP subscribers.

The C-drama’s entire release schedule currently looks like this:
For iQIYI VIP subscribers: Episodes 1 thru 6 on November 8th
2 new episodes on November 9th thru 23rd (which takes us up to Episode 36)
November 24th thru 26th will not have any new episodes premiering
1 new episode will then release on November 27th (Ep 37), 28th (Ep 38), 29th (Ep 39) and 30th (Ep 40).
Of course, iQIYI’s Express payment will also kick in towards the end so, if you absolutely have to watch the last four episodes or so earlier than they are released for regular VIP subscribers, you will be able to do that too.
Surprise update: There’s a new short form drama series on its way this weekend that’s a spin-off from the original Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty series

Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty: To Changan is also earning a huge amount of attention in China, as iQIYI is now reporting the series has already earned over 100 million bullet points from viewers as episodes are streaming.
